In January 2020 at the Ecological Farming Association Conference in Pacific Grove, California, I recorded and produced “Cultivating a more diverse EcoFarm” in addition to conducting the interviews. KCBX Public Radio in San Luis Obispo aired this segment on their weekly Issues & Ideas program in February 2020.

While attending the “Telling Immigrant Food Stories” workshop presented by Feet in 2 Worlds in San Francisco in 2019, participants recorded and produced audio interviews conducted with our colleagues about a personal item connected to the interviewee’s food history. My interview with DJ Rekha Malhotra was selected for inclusion in their Fi2W Podcast episode “Something About It Represents Home.”

On a personal trip to Southeast Asia in early 2018, I recorded a field interview with world traveller David Thompson in Bangkok about his online travel site DavesTravelCorner.com, one of the earliest on the internet. The KCBX news department had encouraged me to find a local San Luis Obispo connection for an audio story while on this trip. Our friend Dave, a Cal Poly State University graduate and former resident of San Luis Obispo, joined us for an interview that was recorded on a smart phone: “Freedom, Friends & Fruit: In Bangkok with Dave’s Travel Corner.” This story appeared on KCBX’s weekly Issues & Ideas program in April 2018.
